One of the primary features that distinguishes our storage house is the fact
that we personally handle and control the drying process of the following
types of wood:
-IROKO
-IROKO (natural log form)
-MONGOY (natural log form)
-SPANISH PINE
-ACACIA
-FRENCH OAK
-AMERICAN OAK
-GERMAN ASH
-AMERICAN CHERRY
-CORAL
-LEMON WOOD
-CHESTNUT
We use
the NATURAL DRYING system.
We purchase the freshly felled wood and subsequently allow it to air dry for
the necessary amount of time, depending on the thickness and type of wood,
thus gradually adapting it to the temperature and humidity levels of our island.
Nothing could be simpler; all we need is time (2 to 3 years) and a suitable
storage space.
This consequently prevents many problems when it comes to the later manipulation
of wood, as this process guarantees that the wood has completed its succession
of expansions and constrictions, and more importantly still, it has undergone
such changes naturally, under the climatic conditions that it will later be
subject to in Majorca.
